The Japanese eagle plays a significant role in the symbolism of Japanese swords. This emblem was common among the samurai, as it represented the great power of nature that has existed since ancient times and was rooted in Japanese Shinto beliefs. This katana is one such replica that represents the same thing.

The blade is made of 1045 high carbon steel that has been traditionally clay-tempered to produce a hard edge and a softer spine, the same way it was done in the samurai times of Japan. The result is a real Gunome hamon dancing across its length. It comes with a bohi to make it lighter and produce a louder slashing sound.

The handle is double-pegged for security and traditionally wrapped with black rayskin and purple tsuka-ito, with purple indicating royalty status. The tsuba is square with the eagle motif, and the other fittings carry nature elements.
