Ronin Katana Hand Forged Shirasaya Suguha Hamon #5

Shirasaya katanas are bare blades housed in very long scabbards, extending over the blade and tang. While protective against rust and excellent for long-term storage, they are also usable for training. This is one such functional shirasaya katana.

It is hand-forged from T10 high carbon steel and traditionally polished by hand using a Japanese stone, commonly known as hazuya polish. The result is very fine blade grain details and a hamon pattern line. This model features a suguha hamon, which is straight and follows the sharpened edge of the blade.

The sword comes sharpened, ready for cutting rigid targets such as tatami mats and bamboo.

The shirasaya handle and scabbard are made out of hardwood and polished for a reflective and shiny appeal.
