Oggami Itto Katana Lone Wolf

This Ogami Itto Katana is inspired by the Lone Wolf and Cub series, created by Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima. It tells of Ogami Itto, a shogun's executioner who uses a battle sword to seek revenge on the Yagyu clan who falsely accused him, causing him to take the path of an assassin.

As a tribute to Ogami Itto, Dragon King reproduced his katana using forged steel. The awabi (distinctive blackened abalone shell) tsuba (guard) contrasts against the fuchi (hilt collar) and kashira (pommel cap) which are highly polished and etched with Japanese Dogwood blossoms. The blade is secured to the tsuka (handle) with silver dragon menuki (peg) for added strength and stability.

The handle is then covered with white same (rayskin) and wrapped with black cotton ito (handle wrap). This katana comes sheathed in a black ribbed saya (scabbard) with silver steel kojiri (scabbard end cap) etched with Japanese Dogwood blossom, matching the katana. the koiguchi (mouth of the scabbard) and kurikata (knob for carrying cord) is made of black buffalo horn.
