Swept Hilt Rapier

This is a replica of the famous style of dueling and protective swords in Europe during the 17th century - The Swept Hilt Rapier. It is named accordingly due to its style of a hilt that has many quillons, bigger and smaller, that are protected by a sweeping metal guard. While being very distinctive and eye-pleasing, it provided protection to the user's hand in dueling and combat.

This swept hilt rapier is crafted out of carbon steel. The blade has an unsharpened ricasso allowing for versatile grips with a slim and pointy reinforced blade ideal for cutting and powerful thrusting.

The hilt is made out of stainless steel which requires less maintenance due to its stronger rust resistance. The handle is cord-wrapped allowing for a comfortable and firm grip with enough room to wear fencing gloves if desired. The rapier comes with a wooden scabbard for protection.

The sword comes unassembled to reduce packaging size. It will feature a metric wrench that can be used to tighten down the pommel and grip onto the blade.
