PRODUCT DETAILS

Modeled after a late 18th-century cavalry blade, this replica sword was designed and developed by Major-General John Gaspard Le Marchant, one of Britain's most revered cavalry commanders. Influenced by the lighter and slimmer Turkish, Hungarian, and Mamluk sabers, his design proved more effective for mounted combat. This design was widely adopted during the Napoleonic Wars and ultimately set a benchmark, informing numerous European saber designs thereafter.

Crafted from 1080 high carbon steel, this sword is admired for its unmatched rigidity and longevity. The one-handed handle boasts a wide steel knuckle guard, providing protection during use. Leather-wrapped and ribbed, the handle ensures a solid and secure grip. The blade, accompanied by a meticulously replicated steel scabbard, is fully sharpened, rendering it a functional piece fit for historical enthusiasts or collectors seeking authenticity and practicality.
