Atrim Design Oakeshott Type XIIIa War Sword

This sword was designed by Angus Trim using Oakeshott's Type XIIIa specifications, seen in swords used in the 12th to early 13th centuries. This was a transitional time from hardened leather to mail armor, with the added protection of plate armor in vital areas.

This performance oriented sword has a blade hand forged from mono tempered 9260 high carbon spring steel and flat ground with a handsome satin finish, giving it impressive flexibility, resilience, and shock resistance.

Equipped with high quality stainless steel fittings, it is further complemented with a solid wood core handle. This is cord wrapped for strength, and has a textured leather over-wrap to provide a comfortable and secure grip. The sword comes sheathed in a solid wood core scabbard featuring a stainless steel shape and stitched leather wrap.

While self customization is possible, it is important to note that any modifications can change Gus's handling characteristics of the sword.
