Bamboo Citadel Katana with Pure Iron Tsuba

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, Citadel's swords and knives are hand-made one-off customs produced in their small shop in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. In collaboration with Citadel, we have commissioned a limited run of swords made in the same style and manner as their custom pieces. Each sword is a unique work of art, signed by the smith on the nakago and accompanied by a matching certificate, further enhancing its collectible value.

This particular katana showcases the timeless beauty of the bamboo theme. The blade is hand-forged from imported European DNH7 high carbon steel, featuring a "bo-hi" or fuller for improved balance without compromising strength. The tsuba, meticulously hand-cut and engraved from pure iron, exhibits intricate "nanako" stippling and incorporates "seki-gane" metal inserts for a perfect fit with the blade. 

The handle, wrapped in genuine imported silk from Japan, complements the full ray skin wrap, ensuring a comfortable and secure grip. The scabbard, lacquered in a sleek black finish, features a ray skin wrap near the mouth for added durability. When wielded, this exceptional sword seamlessly becomes an extension of the wielder's arm, delivering a truly remarkable experience.
