Dojo Pro Wakizashi Model #2

The Dojo Pro Wakizashi #2 from Ronin Katana is made in a way to form a Daisho set with the Dojo Pro #3. Forged from 1060 steel, the blade is through hardened to give it a consistent hardness throughout. Since all Dojo Pro swords feature a unique tsuba (guard) based on an actual antique Japanese blade, the tsuba for this wakizashi is maru gata and painted black to add to the overall aesthetics of the sword. Additionally, it also features blackened iron fuchi kashira (hilt collar and pommel cap) and gold colored habaki (blade collar) and brass menuki (decorative hilt ornament).

The tsuka (handle) of this wakizashi is covered in white same (rayskin) and the tsukamaki uses silk ito (handle wrap). The glossy black lacquered saya (scabbard) that houses the blade comes with hand cut and polished buffalo horn kurigata (knob for sageo), koiguchi (mouth of saya), and kojiri (scabbard end cap). The thick sageo (carrying cord) is made from synthetic silk.
