Windlass Battlecry Cutlass

The Cutlass is a single-edged shortsword that had a very simple design and excelled in close quarters. It was simple to make, easy to use, and due to its effectiveness up close, it became the perfect self-defense tool on the compact and limited deck of a ship, which is why it is linked today with sailors as well as pirates.

This particular Cutlass has a blade made out of 1065 high carbon steel, a material known for its balance between toughness and flexibility, ideal for a blade of this size. It has been hardened to a low 50 HRC and has gone through rigorous testing. The blade has a slightly upswept design with a clip point that makes it good for cutting and thrusting, and it has been darkened to protect it from rust and corrosion.

Its handle features the iconic basket-guard with cutouts. It is made out of metal and provides a firm and safe grip. This sword comes with its own scabbard made of real leather with a metal throat and chape. To make it easy to carry, it includes an attached frog and belt loop.
