Windlass Viking Huntsman’s Hadseax

While the Vikings are known for their swords and axes, they always carried a knife known as a "scramasax." This is an accurate replica of a Viking knife, the Viking Huntsman's Hadseax, used by hunters for survival, skinning animals, and general self-defense even while on a raid.

This knife is hand-forged from 1075 high carbon steel, a material with a high carbon content that makes it very durable and tough, ideal for cutting activities. It has a single cutting edge with a ridge near the tip allowing for a more precise cut. The blade features the iconic Viking small fullers which aided in thrusting while making the visuals more elaborate.

The handle is made of hardwood and includes hand-carved cross-hatched bone spacers with black stained grooves. The butt cap or pommel features a lanyard ring with a leather thong that can be tied around the user's arm for better stability, or perhaps hanging off the user's belt.

This tactical knife comes with its very own brown leather sheath that has been expertly embossed with interlaced dragon designs on both sides. It also features brass fittings with an aged finish, and two rings for threading cord or leather to attach it onto a belt or a sash.
