Windlass Shogun Tsuru Katana – Japanese Crane

Bring good fortune to your Japanese sword training with the Shogun Tsuru Katana, decorated with a Japanese crane, a symbol of prosperity and goodwill. This blade is a replica of one of the katana swords wielded by the legendary samurai in the Shogun show.

It is crafted using 1095 high carbon steel, which is ideal for tameshigiri (cutting practice). The blade has undergone ancient methods of tempering, like applying clay to the blade for hardening its edge. The result was a 45-48 HRC on the spine with 56-58 HRC on the edge, balancing toughness with flexibility and producing a real hamon (temper line).

The handle is double-pegged for increased security and is tied very tightly with a tsuka-ito wrap atop real rayskin. The fittings are each made out of durable brass and decorated with the Japanese crane and nature.

This katana comes with its own scabbard, colored black and made glossy for visual appeal. Additionally, it comes with its own cotton sword bag for safe storage and a maintenance kit for longevity.
