Windlass English Bill Polearm Head

This is an English Bill Polearm Head, a type of weapon that was mounted on a wooden shaft and used to take over castles or fend off unwanted enemy invaders from a distance. It was a very popular weapon design from 1300 to 1620, known as the Forest Bill, Black Bill, or Brown Bill. It was especially used by English soldiers due to the versatility it allowed in attacks: cutting, thrusting, hooking, and chopping.

This replica polearm head is made out of high carbon steel and, while it has established cutting bevels, it isn't sharpened. However, it can be sharpened and is capable of retaining a razor-sharp edge. It can be mounted on a wooden dowel shaft from your local hardware or home supply store.
