Forged from 1095 carbon steel, its _shinogi zukuri_ (ridge-lined) blade is differentially hardened to reveal a striking _gunome_(wave-like) _hamon_ that enhances the sword’s visual depth.

A single _mekugi_ secures the blade to the wooden core _tsuka_, covered in gray _samegawa_ and tightly wrapped in matching artificial silk _tsuka ito_ for a secure, comfortable grip.

What sets this piece apart is its unique pairing of two powerful symbols—the dragon and the dragonfly.

The sword mountings, including a _sumi iri kaku gata_ (square with notched corners) _tsuba_, _fuchi_, _kashira_, and _menuki_, feature delicate dragonfly motifs representing courage, determination, and forward resolve.
