Straight Hamon Damascus Clay Tempered Katana

This is a historically accurate, brown Katana sword, designed with the same traits as the samurai's blade. It is made out of high carbon Damascus Steel, folded a total of 13 times, revealing around 8192 visible, vibrant blade patterns across its length. The blade has been polished to achieve a mirror-shine effect, quenched, and clay-tempered for a genuine straight hamon while also hardening its edge.

The handle is traditionally made using rough rayskin wrapped around the wooden core. This is underneath a tight silk hineri-maki (cord wrap style), and paired with a wooden scabbard, giving off a shiny gloss effect. Its fittings, made of brass and copper, follow the Japanese dragon motif, symbolizing courage, bravery, and good fortune for its owner. This sword is double-pegged for extra security during cutting practice, but can also be unsharpened for safe Iaido training. It comes with a complimentary sword bag for storage.
