Japanese Ninja Sword Oil Quenched Full Tang

This very affordable Japanese sword, a Ninjato, is said to have been used by Japan's mysterious past ninjas. It's made of quality 1060 high carbon steel, properly heat-treated and oil-quenched for strength. The blade, given special treatment, boasts a strong black color and rust protection.

The full-tang blade has undergone traditional hazuya stone polishing, exhibiting a bright mirror shine and sharp edge. The wooden handle, wrapped with a tight silk hineri-maki (cord wrap style) over beautiful red rayskin, enables a tight grip. The scabbard, made of hardwood, has an added gloss effect to enhance appeal. Its fittings, made from iron, copper, and brass, can be disassembled for maintenance.

This Ninjato features a bohi (groove) which creates a tachikaze (sound of perfect swing) during training and can be used for functional cutting practice if sharpened.
