Serrated Katana 1060 Carbon Steel Blade

This is a Japanese Katana sword that follows the true historical characteristics of a samurai weapon, except that it has a serrated blade edge. It takes inspiration from a dragon and snake theme that symbolizes bravery, courage, and protectiveness in Japan. The sword is crafted from 1060 high carbon steel that has been hand polished to achieve a bright mirror shine.

The blade features a full tang, double-pegged for superior security, and is fitted with two sets of bohi (grooves). These grooves not only reduce the sword's weight but also produce a tachikaze (the sound of a perfect swing) when wielded. The handle, made of a wooden core, is traditionally wrapped with a tsuka-maki cord to enhance grip strength, while the hardwood scabbard possesses a shining gloss. The fittings, constructed from alloy metal, are each enriched with the dragon and snake of Japan. This sword would be ideal as a cosplay piece, for use as decor, or even for practical application in Iaido and light-cutting practice.
