Synthetic Basket Hilt Sparring Sword – Silver Blade

This new addition to the synthetic sword range, developed in collaboration with the English Martial Arts Academy, offers an affordable and high-quality option for backsword practitioners. Designed for practicing techniques from George Silver and the Highland Broadsword fighting manuals, these swords feature the Rawlings Xtreme Single Hand Blade, compatible with all Rawlings Single Hand Sword fittings.

The swords' flexible blades, reinforced by a steel rod running through the handle, provide safer thrusting compared to wooden wasters or shinai. With their rubber-like thermoplastic elastomer grips, they absorb impact and ensure a secure fit on the tangs. Not only are they ideal for intense sparring and tournaments, but these synthetic-bladed swords also serve as a safer option for theatrical use. With interchangeable parts available, they offer versatility and the opportunity to create various sword styles.
