The Viking sword was believed to have evolved from the Roman longsword spatha and grew to become one of the most efficient weapons used throughout the Viking Age. It was widely produced by the Franks, and then distributed as well as plundered by the Vikings. Eventually, it became a very common sight amongst the Vikings, which led to its modern name.

Ronin Katana’s one handed Viking sword #11 is a simple yet lethal-looking blade forged from 1075 steel and through hardened. It comes with a free bonus item: a basic sheath for easy storage.

The blade is straight and double-edged, with a fuller in its core to give it more elasticity when cutting as well as making it lighter in weight. The handle is carefully wrapped with leather to allow for a firm grip. It is protected by the iconic narrowed Viking crossguard as well as the lobed pommel.
