Ronin Katana Dojo Pro Model #26

At first glance, Ronin Katana's Dojo Pro Katana Model #26 is visually striking as the red tsukamaki contrasts against the black scabbard. Forged from 1060 steel and through hardened, the maru gata (round or circular) tsuba (guard) is based on an actual antique Japanese katana. Other koshirae (fittings) such as the fuchi (hilt collar) and kashira (pommel cap) are made of blackened iron while the gold colored menuki (decorative ornament) is brass.

The tsuka (handle) is inlaid with black same (rayskin) and held in place with the tsukamaki using red silk ito (handle wrap).

The katana comes sheathed in a black glossy lacquered saya (scabbard) that accentuates the red tsuka and gold menuki, giving it a unique appearance. The saya is fitted with hand cut and polished buffalo horn kurikata (knob for sageo), koiguchi (mouth of saya), and kojiri (scabbard end cap). The black sageo is made of synthetic silk.
