Windlass Langeid Sword from Norway’s Valley

A quality 1080-carbon steel sword, modeled on a blade found in a Viking burial mound in the Langeid area, is highly mysterious due to incorporating various Viking, Anglo-Saxon, Latin, and Christian elements, and features the most elaborate hilt of any Viking sword discovered to date. It undoubtedly belonged to a rich, highly influential Viking warlord with connections throughout Europe.

The grip is one of the shortest among Viking swords discovered, with a narrowed tang that allows the pinky finger to rest on its large pommel. The hilt markings, meticulously replicated using real copper and gold, contrast with the silver-plated guard turned towards the blade. The high carbon steel blade is ready for real cutting. Serving as a portal to the late Viking Ages of Europe when displayed, this sword comes with a quality leather sheath and belt.
