    PRODUCT DETAILS

    This beautiful yet highly affordable katana from Dragon Sword has a hira zukuri blade (without shinogi or yokote) that was used during the Heian period for tanto and ko-wakizashi. Forged from 9260 steel, the hira zukuri blade is heat treated, oil quenched, and features a bohi that decreases the weight of the sword and improves its point of balance.

    Equipped with a brass aoi gata (hollyhock) tsuba, fuchi, and kashira with a dragon and waves, this exquisite piece also comes with brass menuki, seppa, and habaki. The Haichi style tsuka is covered with white genuine samegawa and wrapped with artificial silk ito. The blade is then sheathed in an oil lacquered saya mounted with brass shitodome and thick sageo.
