Windlass Authentic 15th Century Two-Handed Sword

European longswords aren’t just defined by their length—they follow a specific design made for speed, precision, and control. This late 15th-century model is one of the most well-known examples, featuring a narrow blade with a central mid-rib for added stiffness. It was especially effective for thrusting between the gaps of plate armor, making it a favored weapon in close combat during the armored knight era.

This replica is based on a historical sword found near the Battle of Castillon in France, and the original is currently preserved in a museum. Each sword includes a certificate of authenticity.

The blade is forged from 1080 high-carbon steel, fully tempered and distally tapered for balance. It features the same slender profile and center ridge as the original. Though unsharpened, its geometry gives it a realistic and functional feel.

The handle is designed for two-handed use, fitted with a fishtail pommel and a straight crossguard. It comes with a wood-core scabbard wrapped in leather for safe storage and display.
