Windlass Battlecry Orleans Battle Axe

This is a battle-ready and functional medieval axe, a type of weapon that was used during the Late Middle Ages to take care of mail or plate armor.

It is forged out of 1065 high carbon steel, a material with the right balance of toughness and flexibility. It has been battle-hardened and tempered to a low 50 HRC. The cutting edge of the axe is long on the top and bottom, which gives it more room for chopping, as well as the ability to hook onto things, such as shields. The back has a spike, and the top comes with a pointy tip that can be used for thrusting.

This axe has a hardwood blackened shaft with long langets pinned to it for more durability. The bottom of the grip has marked areas for where the hands should be placed, which aids in the grip.
