Windlass Bushido Tonbo Katana with a Japanese Dragonfly

This Bushido Tonbo Katana is made using high carbon steel and its sharpness tested on paper after being crafted, usable for both decorations to light-cutting cutting practice.

The steel is pattern welded, a method that involves mixing steels together and folding them to create many visual patterns across the blade, known as Damascus Steel. It comes with a bohi groove that reduces its overall weight and produces a long slashing sound, ideal for beginners' training. It has been properly through-hardened with a HRC of around 40-45 and has a painted hamon.

The handle features rayskin and a tight tsuka-ito wrap, allowing for a very powerful grip. Each of the fittings is made of brass and given an antique finish for aesthetics. This katana is enriched with the Japanese dragonfly, a symbol of bravery to the samurai.

The sword comes with its own wooden scabbard with a glossy mottled copper finish, and a cotton sword bag for safe storage.
