Chinese Zodiac Jian Double Hi Blade

This is a Chinese short Jian sword that is double-edged and straight. It has a motif based on the traditional Chinese zodiac sign system, including the renowned yin/yang inscribed on its fittings. The blade is made out of Damascus Steel that has been folded 13 times, producing 8192 blade layers, which only increase its aesthetic appeal.

The blade features two sets of fullers/grooves that not only aid in the overall aesthetic but also lighten its weight. Its fittings are made of an alloy, with Chinese zodiac elements. Its scabbard and handle are made out of ebony wood and are wrapped with a silk cord wrap in a traditional x-like pattern. This short Jian is ideal for use as decor, to be presented as a gift, or for practical use in cutting practice when sharpened.
