Jkoo Blade T10 Steel Choji Hamon

Aptly named, this Choji Hamon Katana was forged from T10 steel, differentially hardened, clay tempered, and mirror polished by hand to produce a full tang shinogi zukuri blade with choji (clove buds) hamon. The blade also features a bohi (fuller / groove) to reduce the overall weight of the sword, improve point of balance, and results in a better sounding hasuji (path of the blade).

The tsuka (handle) is fully covered with samegawa (rayskin) and held in place with tight tsukamaki with hishigami using artificial silk ito (handle wrap) to give it a sturdy and comfortable grip. Equipped with red copper fittings (tsuba - guard, fuchi - hilt collar, kashira - pommel cap). Sheathed in a glossy white saya (scabbard) with brown buffalo horn koiguchi (mouth of saya), kurigata (knob for carrying cord), and kojiri (scabbard end cap), this durable and affordable sword is an excellent choice for tameshigiri (cutting practice) or as a decorative piece.
