Katana Damascus Steel Clay Tempered Traditional

This is a functional, dark samurai Katana sword, made in the traditional manner by repeatedly folding the blade. This process produces vibrant layers of Damascus Steel-like texture on the blade. The steel is authentically clay-tempered to produce a harder edge and a genuine Hamon line while being properly heat-treated and quenched for added security.

The tang is double-pegged, and the blade bears a shiny polish. It features a bohi (groove) to reduce its weight and to create a tachikaze (the sound of a perfect swing) when used for slashing. The handle comprises rayskin under a leather tsuka maki, while the protective wooden scabbard displays ringer lines across it. The fittings, made of brass, are enriched with a golden-hued Japanese dragon, symbolic of courage, bravery, and strength.
