Hanwei Saber Dadao Cleaver-Shaped

The Dadao is a large and cleaver-shaped Chinese saber that often inspires fear in opponents during battle. Due to its broad and thick blades, these swords were already durable without the need of being produced using high quality steel or advanced techniques. In fact, the Dada was in use as late as the 1930s during the Sino-Japanese War.

Like its ancient peers, this Dadao by Hanwei has a wide but flat blade. Forget from 1566 carbon steel, the full tang blade is secured to the wooden hilt bound with cord wrap to give it a secure and comfortable grip. Suitable for both cutting practice or as a display piece, this highly versatile weapon can be wielded with one or two hands. While the original Dadaos did not have a scabbard, Hanwei's comes with a simple carrying case for protection and easy carrying.
