Dojo Pro 1060 Steel Tanto #5

Ronin Katana's Dojo Pro 1060 Steel Tanto #5 has a blade forged from 1060 steel and through hardened, a process that rapidly quenches the steel to increase the hardness throughout. Mounted in the Hamidashi style, this tanto features a small tsuba (guard) that is slightly larger than the grip. To add to the overall design of the sword, the seppa (washer), habaki (blade collar), and menuki (decorative ornament) are painted gold.

The tsuka (handle) of this tanto is covered in white same (rayskin) and held in place with black ito (handle wrap). The blade comes sheathed in a simple black glossy saya (scabbard) that has been lacquered. A sageo (carrying cord) is also attached to the kurigata (knob for sageo) so the tanto can be secured to one's obi (belt).
