Early Degen Dagger Used for Plate Armor

The Degen, one of the most iconic European daggers, emerged during the Middle Ages alongside the rise of plate armor. Though compact and lightweight, this stiff-bladed weapon was designed to exploit the vulnerable gaps in heavy armor, making it a formidable tool against heavily protected opponents.

This functional replica reflects one of the earliest historical models and is built for authenticity as well as light performance use. The blade is forged from durable 5160 spring steel, sharpened on both edges, and reinforced with a pronounced mid-rib that strengthens the blade and leads to an exceptionally sharp piercing tip.

The handle is made from sturdy rosewood in a historically accurate hourglass shape, with a forward-narrowed guard that helps provide a secure grip, even when worn with armored gloves.

The dagger includes a leather scabbard with integrated belt loops for safe and convenient carry.
