Ronin Katana Euro #9 Arming Sword – Leather Wrapped Grip

The arming sword is otherwise known as the "Knightly Sword." This is due to the sword's popularity with the early rising class of knights that extended and lasted for centuries. Even though they changed their armor and style of battles, the arming sword never did die out and was used all over Europe, whether on foot, on a horse, with a shield, or without one.

This is a replica of a European arming sword. It is crafted out of 1075 carbon steel, popularly called spring steel due to its high level of flexibility. The blade comes with a historically accurate fuller that reduces its weight, and a broader designed blade. These were more frequent during the early stages of the Middle Ages that combated mail armors.

The one-handed handle has been stitched with leather to allow for a very firm grip. The sword is held together with a peened rounded pommel that gives it balance while being a good backstopper for the hand. The guard is an iconic crossguard, and each fitting is made out of steel.

The sword comes with its own scabbard that has a wooden core wrapped with leather from all around. This arming sword is an ideal piece to test out the might of a European knight when using it for cutting practice.
