Katana Damascus Steel Sword Full Tang Oil Quenched Hawk Koshirae

This is a unique Japanese Katana, made from the rare and mysterious Damascus Steel. It has been properly heat-treated, oil-quenched, and folded 13 times to produce an ideal hardness level. Many enticing and vibrant layers dance across its blade.

The Katana is full tang and double-pegged for extra security. It has a bohi (groove) to reduce its overall weight and make the tachikaze (sound of a perfect swing) easier to achieve. The handle is a rayskin under a silk tsuka-maki wrap while the scabbard is crafted from wood with a glossy finish. The mountings, made of brass and copper, are enriched with the Japanese hawk -- a symbol of a samurai warrior. It is, therefore, a perfect beginner's training sword.
