Ronin Katana Hand Forged Shirasaya Choji Hamon #3

To better preserve their battle blades when not in use for extended periods, samurai historically kept them in a package known as shirasaya. This involved storing the bare blade inside a wooden scabbard and handle to protect it from the outside elements and rust. This is one such bare blade katana mounted with a shirasaya design.

The blade is made of T10 steel, renowned in the community for its tough durability, and has been handcrafted. It comes with a Japanese finger stone polish, otherwise known as hazuya, which reveals the finest details of the blade upon closer inspection. This model features a choji hamon, which is one of the hardest to achieve due to its unpredictable nature.

The blade is mounted with a blade collar known as habaki, which has a falling rain texture, making it suitable for cutting practice and training on various targets from tatami mats to bamboo.

The handle and scabbard are made of hardwood and have been lacquered for a shiny reflection and appeal.
