PRODUCT DETAILS

The 13th century River Witham sword was discovered in the River Witham, Lincolnshire in 1825. Like the original, Hanwei's replica of this sword stays true to its design, all down to the inscription +NDXOXCHMDRCHDXORVI+ on the blade.

Forged from 1566 high carbon steel, the sword is left barely polished to replicate the appearance of the original. However, Hanwei's creation comes with a leather covered hardwood grip with fittings that are either made of steel or solid brass. Collectors, re-enactors, and practitioners are sure to appreciate the craftsmanship of this sword.
