Katana Kobuse Full Rayskin Wrap T10 Steel Sword

This blue-themed Japanese Katana sword is a functional yet artistic piece, used for tameshigiri (cutting practice). It is crafted from 1095 high carbon steel, using a traditional kobuse (inner softer core with harder outer layers) method to achieve exceptional hardness and flexibility. The sword has undergone rigorous heat treatment, quenching, and clay tempering, resulting in a much harder edge and a genuine hamon line.

The sturdy, hazuya stone-polished, double-pegged full tang blade carries an exceptionally sharp edge and a lustrous shine. It features a bohi (groove) to lighten it and facilitate an easier tachikaze (sound of a perfect swing).

The handle is wrapped in authentic rayskin underneath a tightly woven silk tsuka-maki to provide a firm grip. A lacquer graces its wooden scabbard for aesthetic appeal, and brass fittings embellished with Japanese flora and a pine tree to complete the sword's composition.

The entire sword and its fittings can be assembled/disassembled and it comes with its own sword bag for safe storage.
