This samurai katana sword is made from modern L6 tool steel, a recent technological advancement renowned in the sword community for its durability in cutting practice. It has a hardness of 59 HRC, which provides the right balance between toughness and elasticity. It has been traditionally clay-tempered, producing a real hamon as well as a hard edge.

The blade features a bohi, or groove, that not only reduces its weight but also enhances the blade's aesthetics. Additionally, it produces a much louder tachikaze, or the sound of a perfect swing, ideal for beginners honing their cutting skills.

The handle is made out of quality wood and wrapped with real samegawa rayskin. The ito is made of silk and wrapped in a samurai-favored tsuka-maki pattern with a Japanese flower menuki as decoration and a crane as the tsuba handguard.
