This katana is forged and made from cutting-edge L6 tool steel, a material known for the right balance between durability and flexibility, making it ideal for cutting practice. Achieving a hardness of 59 HRC through traditional clay-tempering, this process strengthens the sword, producing an authentic and real hamon pattern that visually dances along the edge. This katana carries the shinogi-zukuri profile, a samurai favorite, engineered for precision in both cutting and thrusting.

Featuring a bohi or groove, the blade's design reduces its weight while enhancing the tachikaze (the slashing sound), perfect for mastering cut precision and blade alignment, especially suitable for beginners.

The handle is crafted around a handmade wooden core, traditionally wrapped in genuine samegawa rayskin. Enriched with a dragon menuki and tied tightly with leather tsuka-ito, it ensures a secure and comfortable grip and different in feeling than silk, often preferred by some. Each fitting showcases a Japanese dragon design, representing wisdom, strength, and good fortune.

It comes with its very own wooden scabbard. It also features a real sageo wrap that can be secured around the wearer’s waist.
