Shadow Dancer L6 Steel Katana: Water Dragon – Model 1

This katana features a samurai favorite shinogi-zukuri profile, designed for both cutting and thrusting attacks. It is constructed from L6 tool steel, a recent technological advancement that offers balanced durability and elasticity, ideal for cutting practice. It has a hardness rating of 59 HRC achieved through traditional clay-tempering, a process used for strengthening samurai swords. The result is a real hamon pattern dancing on the blade's edge.

The blade includes a bohi, or groove, which helps reduce the weight while producing a louder tachikaze (sound of slashing), ideal for perfecting that perfect cut and blade edge alignment.

The handle features a carefully selected wooden core wrapped traditionally with real samegawa rayskin. It is decorated with a dragon menuki and tightly tied with silk tsuka-ito to provide a firm and stable grip. The fittings are each decorated with a water dragon motif, and the tsuba is mokko-gata style.

This blade comes with its own wooden scabbard, lacquered and dotted with tiny red specks for a shiny reflection and includes a real sageo wrap that can be tied around the user's waist.
