Lion Jian Damascus Steel Sword Hazuya Polish Blade

This double-edged Jian "Lion Sword" is modeled after a blade that belonged to a Tang Dynasty (618-907) noble. In Chinese history, the lion symbolizes strength, stability, and superiority, attributes that high-ranking officers likely enjoy representing on their blades. This particular sword is made from Damascus Steel, folded more than ten times to produce about 8192 visible blade layers.

Its blade features a robust, mirror-like shine, the result of hazuya stone sharpening and polishing. The fittings are crafted from brass metal, featuring the Chinese lion in various positions and a cloud-shaped handguard. The handle, like the scabbard, is made from rosewood and adorned with a traditional Chinese tassel.
