    A Main Gauche, or left-hand dagger, was often used in the 16th and 17th centuries alongside a rapier or sword. Besides serving as a sidearm wielded with the left hand to aid both offense and defense, the main gauche was also a status symbol.

    Kingston Arms’ Main Gauche is a simple yet noble-looking piece, designed to match one of their rapiers. During that era, the European “Schools of Fence” taught the combined use of both weapons to maximize the effectiveness of each. Like its longer counterpart, this parrying dagger features a blade forged from high-carbon steel, a matte stainless steel guard, and a cord-wrapped grip.

    Double-edged daggers/dirks cannot be shipped to MA or NJ (sale restricted), and carry is limited in some states (CA, CT, NM, NC, OR, RI, VA, WA). Please check your local laws before ordering.
