PRODUCT DETAILS

Wooden swords were common in the barracks and training fields in Europe from the 12th to the 15th centuries. This is one such wooden arming sword that can be used for training in the arts of HEMA (historical European martial arts) today.

It is made out of fully seasoned beechwood, meaning that it is very sturdy and can even be used for sparring with other wooden swords. The wooden guard and pommel have contrasting colors to make them different from the blade and handle.

This sword, while lighter than a real steel blade, allows beginners to fully experience wielding a proper medieval Arming Knightly sword, useful for safe training.
