    PRODUCT DETAILS

    This O-Katana is hand forged from folded steel and clay tempered using traditional methods to produce a cutting edge with the hardness of about 58HRc. This allows the katana to be used for cutting practice, easily getting thorough bamboo, iron sheets, tatami, and more. Fully mirror polished by hand, the hada (grain) and hamon (temper line) of the full tang blade are made more prominent, adding to the overall aesthetics of the sword.

    Equipped with solid brass koshirae; tight tsukamaki with hishigami using authentic leather ito (handle wrap); and a glossy dark red lacquered saya with buffalo horn koiguchi (mouth of the scabbard), kurigata (knob for carrying cord), and kojiri (end cap of scabbard), this O-Katana is a great addition to any collection.
