    The Autumn Leaf in Japan symbolizes the nature of duality and is as ancient as the tree itself. This katana brings the Autumn Leaf to life and embodies both metaphors of endurance and finality in its motif. It is decorated with falling ginkgo leaves on the guard and a moon that coaxes songs from a grasshopper, with bell cricket handle ornaments, each representing good fortune in Japanese culture.

    This katana is forged from the durable and very flexible 5160 spring steel, ideal for tameshigiri (cutting practice). Due to its alloy elements, it has a stronger resistance to rust.

    The blade comes with a bohi (groove) that lowers its weight and produces a louder tachikaze (sound of slashing), with a blade tip's geometry made for rigorous cutting on semi-hard targets. It has been hardened with a level of 60 to 40 on the edge and spine.

    The handle is tightly wrapped with a double-mekugi (peg) holding it securely. The scabbard is lacquered in black with buffalo horn fittings.
