Spada Da Lato Side Sword

This is a functional replica of a Side Sword, one of the most popular swords used in daily life in 16th to 17th century Renaissance Europe. It is an evolved version of the previous one-handed Arming Sword and features an exquisite and complex guard for protection.

It is based on an Italian version and is extremely light in hand. It has an advantage over the contemporary rapier of the time due to its ability to perform very powerful cut and thrust actions.

The blade is forged from high carbon steel with a fuller in the center that lowers its weight. It comes with a swept guard hilt and a long-shaped handguard for protection and a big pommel to act as a counterweight.

The one-handed handle is wooden and wrapped with leather, allowing for a very firm grip. Its scabbard is also leather-covered. The product ships disassembled, to save on shipping cost.
