Roman Gladius Sword

Legacy Arms pays tribute to Europe's most iconic ancient sword - the Roman Gladius. This double-edged short sword was used by the Roman legionaries to conquer three continents while defeating the long ancient spear in almost every battle.

This Gladius is a replica of an original found in the ruins of Pompeii dating back to the mid 1st century CE. It carries an accurate straight double-edged blade design made out of durable 9260 spring steel. It has a reinforced core, ideal for both thrusting and cutting attacks.

The hilt is made out of reliable hardwood that is held together by a steel spacer at the bottom for durability and tightness. It has a large pommel broadening near the end allowing more room for the user's hand. The Gladius comes with its own wooden scabbard wrapped in black leather.
