    Ancient Europe's most iconic sword is the Roman Gladius, a double-edged short sword that conquered three continents while defeating the massive spear. Legacy Arms pays tribute to this blade known as "the sword that conquered the world" by creating the Roman Maintz Gladius. The Maintz Gladius is a type of Gladius that combines cutting and thrusting power in a single design through a waisted blade shape and a long tip.

    This Maintz Gladius replicates just that. It is forged of 5160 spring steel renowned for its durability in cutting. The hilt is made of hardwood with a highly polished steel spacer increasing tightness and durability.

    Please note that the wood grain and carving tone can vary from sword to sword. This Gladius comes with its own wooden scabbard wrapped with leather for ease of carriage.
