Scottish Sgian Dubh

The Sgian-Dubh, or Skene-Dhu meaning black knife, is a small single-edged knife that's worn as part of the traditional Scottish Highland attire. This ceremonial Gaelic dagger was worn tucked in the hose near the kilt with only the pommel being visible.

This replica of Sgian Dubh pays tribute to this Scottish cultural artifact. Its single-edged blade is made of high carbon steel and carries an accurate notch near the handle and is only present on one side. The blade is fully tempered, full tang, and peened at the top.

The handle is made of iron wood slightly widened in the center allowing for a firm grip. Usable for cutting to decoration, this knife can be easily carried even fitting perfectly inside your hose or sock.
