Samurai Katana Clay Tempered Full Tang

This is a Katana sword made from 1095 high carbon steel, renowned for its durability in cutting practice. It is laminated using a maru (single steel) method to enhance its cutting power and it has a suitable quench and clay temper to reach ideal hardness levels and a real hamon. For security, the full tang is double-pegged, and the bohi (groove) produces a tachikaze (sounding of a perfect swing).

The handle is wrapped tightly with rayskin and silk hineri-maki (cord style wrap), ensuring a firm grip. The scabbard is reliable hardwood with a shiny lacquer. The fittings, made from brass, are adorned with the Japanese dragon symbolizing bravery and courage. Because of its kamasu-kissaki (straight blade tip), this blade is ideal for proper slashing and thrusting and can serve as a beautiful decorative samurai piece.
