Shi Huang Jian Damascus Folded Steel Sword

The Chinese Jian sword, named after the first unifier of China, Shi Huang (259 - 210 BCE), is forged from various Damascus Steel and 1060 high-carbon metal layers. These produce many stunning grain patterns dancing on the blade. This blade, which has an unusual, traditional 8-sided edge, aligns with swords found during the Qin Dynasty (221 - 206 BCE).

The blade undergoes oil quenching, heat treatment, and manual polishing to emphasize the visible layers. Brass fittings display Qin symbols and emblems. Comprising a handle and scabbard fashioned from shadowy ebony wood, the Jian is either sharp or blunt. It's suitable for anything from cutting practice to decorations.
