Shirasaya Tanto Clay Tempered Red Wood Saya&Handle

This is a replica of a Japanese Tanto blade, traditionally used by legendary Samurai warriors in daily life and on battlefields. It features a shira-saya format without a handguard, enhancing protection against rust and corrosion within its scabbard. The blade, crafted from sturdy 1095 high carbon steel, is traditionally clay-tempered to produce an authentic hamon and a harder cutting edge.

This full-tang Tanto is double-pegged for increased stability. It has a large o-kissaki tip, ideal for cutting practice.

Polished with a hazuya stone makes the blade feautre a mirror-like shine. The handle and scabbard are crafted from beautiful African rosewood, accented with real buffalo horns, and its brass fittings can be fully assembled or disassembled for maintenance.
